Many SR tailors seem to have websites, and personally I have found them to be generally interesting and informative (with English Cut a favourite).

Question: might we one day see an A&S website??! (I know they're traditionally a very dicreet outfit....but I now understand that they display mannequins in the windows of their new premises, so who knows?)

Similarly, has anyone any experience of/been 'on the receiving end' of a brochure from an SR house? I've really know idea whether or not they typically produce this sort of literature.

Dege has a flier for their US visits that often lists promotions. And Kilgour does a letter to clients before their trips that encloses a sample of something they're pushing--- often a Super 200s laced with Unobtainium. Steed has a simple folding piece that now has a few shots of their ladies' line.

As far as standard product brochures with lots high-quality pictures and text, I don't know of any. Maybe Poole or Huntsman have the resources to try.

Come to think of it, there ought to be a trade association that could separate out the trained tailors from the RTW guys masquerading as such. Sort of like the "Real Ale" campaign.

There is an association. It is called "The Guild of Master Craftsmen of Savile Row" and londonlounge member Andrew Ramroop is the guild's President.

I vaguely knew of this--- I still think that they could be a more useful force in publicizing the genuine article.

As far as I know, most SR houses either don't have anything or just have a small booklet. A notable exception is "Richard Anderson" -- they have a quarterly newsletter with sometimes interesting items in it.

Poole has a small brochure.

Huntsman has (had?) a very small, but beautiful brochure.

What about "The Companions of Savile Row"? I know Benson and Clegg was a member.

A&S is alone among the Savile Row majors in not having a site, although Poole's doesn't appear to have been updated since 2004.

Fallan & Harvey, Chittleborough & Morgan, Richard Paine, James Levett and John Kent all do not have websites either.
