This is funny... the hat comes from Luca's old home town :D Luca, you must have been there already, and many of you too. The shop opened in 1914 and is an institution in Milan. Make sure you phone in advance, if you want to meet the hat-maker; he comes and goes as he pleases, which, of course, is something you would totally expect from a hatter. But then he also has loads of patience and is very modest(*). We discussed the project for nearly two hours before he decided to take a piece of paper and a tape measure, and start from the beginning once again.

(*) "In the olden days they were better than us. They would do maybe 40 or 50 of these every day." Still, he had almost two months of backlog before starting my hat.
