Choppin & Lodge?
I believe, Arch, that the chances are more than 50%. Don´t you think? How many times have you seen Chuck wearing a dark brown suit?
I would have thought so, although it was much more common to wear brown in the 1960s
Not that there's anything wrong with brown but is he really 'in town' in that photo?hectorm wrote:A young PoW in brown (and in town).
I'd suggest he was in the country - by the sea perhaps.

Perhaps even in Wales. It has the look of the locals coming out to meet the new guy in charge.
Just as an update. I've worn the C&L light-medium grey pinstripe a few times now. Still getting used to the more structured, unfused canvassing in the jacket but the trousers are pijama-comfortable despite looking formal.
Will try to get pictures at the weekend.
The next commission is in the works! A relatively (and I do mean relatively) bold brown birdseye that will also feature a waistcoat.

In a similar vein, is anyone familiar with Fielding & Nicholson?
Based on their website, they don't seem to care if jackets fit well.
