There are more than a few enthusiasts of Floris. Just wanted to pass on to my fellow Loungers that Floris is presently offering an incredible winter sale. A good opportunity to stock up on my favorite, Floris 89.

The most gentlemanly scent from Guerlain is Mouchoir de Monsieur.

This is a personal favorite. I had originally designated it for travelling, but wear it all the time now. But if you don't like Jicky, you won't like MdM either.

Just bought some Cacharel Pour Homme - very good, nutmeg then woody, with a touch of vetiver. Originally made in the 1980's I believe. My other favorites are the original Polo and Agua Brava.

Thanks to all contributors, and especially Gido, for this thread. I just purchased vintage Eau Sauvage and vintage Paco Rabanne Pour Homme aftershaves, and hope to be instantly transported back to the eighties to relive the good and bad.

I like Pino Silvestre, cheap and cheerful. Anyone got any views on pine fragrances/aftershaves?
Bay Rum - I use St John's - anyone got any other suggestions (not Taylors of Old Bond St.)?

Much sniffing and reading later, it should be noted that Caron's Tabac Blond is to be preferred in the vintage version, exceedingly hard to source (perfumed court has some), and not the modern incarnation.

My current cologne may appeal to Alden it is Sicilian Limes by Shay and Blue.

Jamican Limes - simply very cool. From Truefitt and Hill.

Eau de Sauvage by Christian Dior are two that were on Raglan's list - these are my two reserves.

Very nice, fresh and extremely long lasting - Molinard II for men. The only place ive seen this for sale in the UK is Fortum and Masons of Piccadilly.

I have 3 Shay and Blue perfumes Sicilian Limes, Blood Oranges and Suffolk Lavender.

In terms of strength the Suffolk Lavender is the most long lasting though I find it has an incense smell as much as lavender. Great for the evening or weekend.
Sicilian Limes is a medium lasting fragrance with Lime as its main scent. It is a good one for work.
Their Blood Oranges I find the weakest thought it smells great initially with a summery orange scent.

I was shaved with a cut throat razor while visiting London and the barber stocked the entire Molinard range. I can't remember off hand but might have been Murdoch's barbers.
