IMO good tailoring is not an interchangeable commodity. The French style is different from the English drape cut. If you are set on the French look, the English drape may not satisfy you.

I thought this photoset of dirnelli's Camps de Luca bespoke fittings was a good demonstration of how good bespoke flatters a figure.

Is it true that Steed will do a bespoke CMT for less than £2000 if using LL cloth? I thought it was 20% off their standard bespoke, which start at around £2800.

Steeds website clearly displays his prices for LL cloths. The prices quoted on this thread are VAT exempt ie applicable to customers outside the EU.

Aston,

I was a bit hasty in my previous comment, as I quoted last year's prices for someone living outside of the EU. This year's price is GBP 1,950 for a 2-piece suit and 2,350 for a 3-piece, excluding VAT. UK VAT is 20%. I'm not sure what VAT would be for other parts of the EU.

Thanks for the clarification.

20% is a lot when you turn it into money!!
