Dear All,

I am a Brit packing for a deluxe 6 star 10 day Mediterranean Cruise starting in Venice. I do not want to look like typical Brit. I wonder what items of clothing you could suggest for my packing list please, both day and evening. There are no formal clothes needed.

The informal character of the cruise simplifies your packing, although I believe it's a true pity you don't take advantage of a 6 star voyage for donning your more formal dinner outfits.
Well, assuming warm weather, a few port calls, and no necktie dinners, I suggest you build your clothes packing list around 3 items: a blue linen jacket, a white jacket and a jacket of another color of your choice. Then you just toss a few trousers (white ducks, yellow, red, madras, etc), white linen and blue polo shirts, a neutral cotton sweater, loafers, boat shoes, your Stan Smiths, maybe your co-respondents, your supefino Panama hat, and some neckerchiefs.
Have a great time!

Perhaps some mid-grey tropical trousers and a tie, in case "not formal" just means "not black and white."

Espadrilles.

(In addition to the abovementioned items, of course.)

Having cruised a number of times I must agree with "Concordia". If you do not want to take a suite. Take an odd jacket or blazer, wear with a pair of light weight trousers, dress shirt & tie.
Pack to mix & match & do not forget that there will be laundry service on the ship.
Have a good trip.

Dear Johnners,

Gucci, Dolce Gabbana, Bruno Cuccinelli should all fit your requirement...
