With all that red he might have been The Last Emperor. He nearly was, after all. The Landmark Trust has bought the mill and is renovating it to save it and will let it as holiday accommodation to raise money for maintenance. The flower beds have now gone and there are lawns but the gardens still have the shape given to them by the Duke.
