Source for cords?

I received one of the two cord trousers I ordered from Bookster today. Apparently, some mix-up resulted in further delays on the other pair. I am very pleased with the pair I did receive, however. The fabric feels nice and heavy and the fit is very good. I wish I hadn't ordered pleats, but oh well.

I had asked: could you tell me how high the rise of your moleskin and your cord trousers is (38" waist), from the upper end of the waistband to the crotch seam?

Cordings: moleskin 13.5" [34.29 cm], corduroy 12.5" [31.75 cm]
Pakeman: moleskin and corduroy front rise 12.25" [31.1 cm], back rise 16.5" [41.9 cm]
Hoggs of Fife: moleskin 32 cm [12.6"], corduroy 30 cm [11.8"] (heavyweight corduroy)
Charles Tyrwhitt: moleskin and corduroy front rise 29.5 cm [11.6"], back rise 42.5 cm [16.75]

I keep in mind that measuring techniques may vary.

I have bought cords from a Norfolk company called Old Town. They're a little bit trendy perhaps, but their trousers are well made (by outworkers in Norfolk I understand) and of good quality English cloth. They're MTO from a smallish selection of fabrics in about half a dozen styles including two high-rise options with fish-tail backs and buttons for braces. I have about four pairs now, in high-rise models in different cloths (the 34" waist is reasonably generous on me) and have been happy with them all, but the cords are definitely the best.

There's also a semi-bespoke website called barringtonayre.co.uk that do cords in whatever you'd like from the Dugdale book. Also he has some 25oz. cords if you ring up and ask, very friendly fellow. All their stuff is made-up in Yorkshire as far as I know.
