Gentlemen,

I have seen advice by members to look for either 10oz or 13oz Henry Lesser cloth and avoid 11oz. Does this advice still hold for 11oz Henry Lesser Golden Bale? Please forgive my ignorance in advance.

Yes - go with heavier than 11 oz. I also believe the choice is irrelevant as you will likely find they are out of golden bale.

It is sooo nice when people just tell their own blunt and clear opinion -- and clearly without strings attached. I love this Lounge!

Tip Top will have Lumb's Golden Bale, milled by Taylor and Lodge. The range is quite limited and rather ordinary in design, in my opinion. The wool and weaving is superior, but not worth the $200/yard price in my opinion. Tip Top does have small swatch books, at least as of 4 days ago. There are perhaps two dozen different cloths in this range, but about 13 or 14 ounce, all suiting.

Thank you for your answers, gentlemen. I received some swatches from my tailor, including HL golden bale 11oz grey, HL golden bale 11-12oz grey worsted flannel, along with some swatches of similar weighted Scabal and Smith samples. I am trying to get all the help I can get in choosing among them, as my experience with this is at its inception point.

Best

Michael
