Poppy Question

I noticed on some photos of Prince Charles that he often wears a five-petal poppy lapel. (See numerous photo links below.) Is this just an older version of the two-petal version usually seen today?

I was thinking of making up a heavier duty, longer lasting poppy lapel, especially for wear on overcoats and the like. Perhaps wool felt or something similar? Does anyone have any suggestions, or can anyone point me in the direction of a supplier? I often find the paper version takes a beating.

The British Legion make a metal poppy lapel pin if that helps.
