The Oxxford Store on E. 57th Street has a display case with antique walking sticks. I never inquired about them. The company's owner, Mr. Hays, collects them.

James Smith is an excellent address for walking sticks. One of the primary advantages of doing business with this shop is that they will custom fit and cut your sticks and umbrellas to your size.

I stopped by James Smith & Sons on the day of the last meeting of the London Chapter: it is one of my favourite stores in the world. As Michael has already pointed out, they are happy to cut umbrellas and walking sticks to size. The salesmen are very knowledgeable indeed.

I'm afraid that I will sound a little declasse, but nevertheles: try eBay. You have to wade through scores of mass-produced & "folk" walking sticks, but there always a dozen or so antique sticks up for auction @ any time. Over the yrs., I've acquired 4 antique sticks on eBay.

Although these are not antique, this individual creates some magnificent walking sticks. They are custom made and he has a large variety.
