I suspect if members of the lounge were asked where they shopped for silks, the following would be named: Hermes, Stefano Ricci, Drakes, Marinella, Zegna, Turnbull & Asser, Budd, Charvet, Brioni, Kiton, Attolini, Hober and Ralph Lauren.

Wonderful silks can be found at all the abovementioned stores, but there is another source, a closely guarded name among discerning silk collectors, with whom you should become acquainted ...

Here's Someone You Should Know About

Next time you get a case of the buys and head for eBay, click on Advanced Search. In the window under Enter seller's user ID, type
Much4little. Click Search. Scroll all the way down the left column.
Under Visit seller's eBay Store! click Classy Things by Tatiana.
In the left column under Store home, click All Scarves/women's/men's.

Start perusing well over 400 beautiful silk items. The entries change from day to day, so you might want to add this seller to your list of favorites to see the latest offerings.

Tatiana is known to her loyal legion of customers as The Scarf Lady, because she collects and truly loves scarves. She treats all things silk with respect, and she's well-acquainted with the history of scarves, production techniques, and the different qualities of silk. She is very accurate about the condition of her items for sale, unlike many other eBay sellers. If she states it is a particular kind of silk, you can be sure of it. If she says the condition is excellent or mint, believe it. In other words, Tatiana is a topnotch seller and highly reliable.

If you're serious about searching for a particular kind of silk item, she's happy to do a personalized selection for you. All that's required is to describe to her what you're looking for, say, ancient madder pocket squares, scarves, ascots, shawls or dress scarves--and she will tell you what she has in her inventory of over 2,000 vintage and new silks. Then she will email photos from which you can make a selection.

I, for one, have never been disappointed by any silk I've purchased from her. Tatiana is in the business of selling beautiful silks, not to disappoint anyone with a purchase. If you're unhappy with the silk you receive, she will gladly take it back. And she knows how to ship goods properly.
