I have revently purchased a T.M. Lewin shirt, white two fold cotton in their luxury range and the problem is no matter how I was dry this shirt it seems to be impossibly creased and I cannot iron it to the point that I feel comfortable in wearing it.
Does anyone have any tips/suggestions on shirt ironing?
FYI I usea pressure steam iron on cotton setting and try to iron the shirts while still just damp to the touch.
T.M. Lewin shirt and ironing
I don't see what more you could do in terms of ironing if you already use pressured steam and iron the shirts while damp. On very stubborn creases try sprinkling a few drops of water and pass the hot iron without steaming. But you obviously cannot apply this treatment to the whole shirt.
Have you tried hanging the shirt from a hanger over the tub while still wet, without any wringing or spinning? That's where the stubborn wrinkles come from in the first place...

that really was my next avenue of attack, though in a fairly busy house my shirts hanging around in the bathroom will not I fear be all that welcome!
I will try the sprinkling of water!

Good luck with it!

Maybe try and look at it another way - it's part of the charm of a good cotton shirt for it to look a touch crumpled. I bought a Brooks Brothers no-iron shirt and it's horrible.
