I've been wearing a knot for a while that I have heard described as the Victoria, but that could be wrong - essentially a four in the hand, but wrapped around twice and back through both loops. Seems to make a nice long knot that works well with my heavyish beard.
That being said, my question is this - I am right handed, and I knot with the blade starting on my left, and the end on my right, while everyone else I know seems to do the opposite - are there any preffered directions when knotting a tie?
I also never seem to like self releasing knots, and all the ones I tie don't self release - would you all think that is a bad thing?
