Good day gentlemen.
I am currently planning a trip this summer to Sicily with my other half and wondered if any of well travelled souls could pass on useful information.
We are provisionally spending a week in Gole Alcantara (just west of Taormina) and then a further week in Cefalu. I am, however, open to suggestions on destinations if others feel passionately.
What I would very much appreciate is recommendations on sights and eating/drinking establishments.
Many thanks
David.

If you are in Taormina then you should visit Catania and Siracusa. Siracusa in particular is a real gem. In Catania, for lunch, go to the fish market there are several resaurants right in the market which are excellent.
And there are some excellent tailors and shirtmakers in Catania......stay tuned
In Palermo is a nice shop with famous hats and ties.
It is Pustorino on the via Maqueda.
