-C. Albaret describing Marcel Proust

The rules died with God or shortly thereafter. Today, the way to dandyhood is through embodying style and the road to style is through the imagination. Study, be creative and courageous....don't talk about it, be it.

Clemens, I may be missing something, but where is the creativity and improvisation in wearing a dark suit with blue tie and white handkerchief to an informal lunch?
You seem pretty good at diagnosing what's wrong with the way you dress, but instead of trying to do something to find a good balance, you seem to expect someone to tell you that you do well to dress as you do and to hell with the world. You do have to be bold and courageous, but also genuine and easy-going if you care for company.
