Today I visited the hat maker who is the artisan behind the LL Limited Edition Bespoke Hats to start the creation of my very own panama hat. To refresh your memories, here's the original hats thread: http://www.thelondonlounge.net/forum/vi ... f=2&t=9220
I've taken some photos of the workshop and written about the experience at my newly started blog: http://www.thedukeandme.blogspot.com.
Enjoy.
The making of a hat
Nice post and blog, J.S. Groot. I like the approach in the purpose statement of your first post. The diary of a young dresser's adventure into the world of bespoke
You've been through a bit of sartorial hell all by yourself - I hope your chosen "Virgil" will accompany you through Style Purgatory and, from there, it is all up to you. It promises to be an epic voyage and documenting it should be great fun for you and your readers. Don't have a safe trip!

I second the comments by Costi. I know you will be very pleased with your hat. I have a fedora and a cap from this master hat maker, they are excellent! I have not had the pleasure of visiting his workshop (I live in England) but simply from my request for 63 long oval he produced a perfect fit. I am pleased to see he has an assistant, hopefully the skills will be passed on for the next generation. I look forward to reading your blog.
