Maybe the men's silhouette are changin,away from the 2000s (excessive) slim cut.
At "Pitty uomo" in Florence,Corneliani have presented Kent double breasted suits inspired by 80s and 40s.
Actual fashion trend began in early 90s with the triumph of the three buttons coat.
At beginning was a little a balanced and classic 50s silhouette,but with the years became more and more slim.
Is the same cycle of 50s and 60s,and if you remember ,in late 60s that super-slim silhouette died for consumption.
Yes is a little signal,but i feel that "The times they, they are a-changin".

I can't help but quote Oscar Wilde's well-known pensee on this one: "Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every 6 months". I am not very much concerned about fashions as long as the principles of dress remain unchanged: the coat, the trousers, the suit, the shirt, the shoes... As long as we can still dress according to this paradigm without being anachronistic, fashion with its waves and exaggerations will continue to be the perfect foil for tasteful elegance (as I recall Michael answering the question "what is fashion?" to a reporter ). When the paradigm changes and men will start wearing kevlar overalls and carbon fiber helmets instead of suits and hats, then we can talk about change; until then, it's all variations on the same theme.
I would say the coat pictured above is more of a 4x1 than a Kent DB, since the buttons are not in a square.

That is a very full looking coat for an Italian maker. I was not able to make it to Pitti this week. What else did you see of interest?

I was there. I didn't go to the shows but people there still wear those short tight fitting jackets and narrow skimpy trousers.
