I saw last evening an excellent documentary entitled "Jack Taylor of Beverly Hills" (Sundance Channel).
See http://www.sundancechannel.com/films/500325023 andhttp://www.jacktaylorthemovie.com/.
Sundance will air the show again on 2/23/09 at 2 pm and 2/24/09 ar 1 pm.
Jack Taylor is the last of the breed of Hollywood tailor, friend and confidant of the starts. He is not a tailor (ironic last name), but a stylist in the Alan Flusser mode. He essentially directs and supervises his tailors.
He is 90+, and he has clothed many of the old time stars, new stars, Hollywood establishment, "machers", agents, studio heads, and wannabees.
There is a guest commentary by Alan Flusser and Glenn O'Brien.
I recommend it.

An interesting slice of American sartorial history. Thanks for posting that, Mark.
