Over the years I've read up on Mr. Biddle's devotion to public service, but have found very little about anything written about his wardrobe. From what I have read even though he was very wealthy he had a small but elegant wardrobe.
In Alan Flusser's book "Clothes and the Man" there is a nice photo of him wearing what appears to be a horizontal striped shirt with contrasting white collar and cuffs. The huge soft lapels on his jacket look like he could take flight with them .
Its very hard to find many photos of him as well, but the one's I've seen show him looking great in a uniform and a suit.
Do any of the LL members have any info on Mr. Biddle Jr's. wardrobe?

Have you read George Frazier's famous article? It has a section on Biddle.
