Gentlemen

Aware of several posters' ongoing search for these laces, I though I'd make my first post bearing good news. GJ Cleverley have a stock, and will mail them out. They're priced at the princely sum of GBP10 per pair.

They went through their original stock from the Eighties recently, but have now found a new supplier.

How are the ends finished? With an aglet or cut.
I purchased some silk ribbon laces from my local supplier for my daughter's shoes and had plenty left over. I think $5 or so bought more than anyone could ever use.

I hope it's OK to link to another forum here. J.P. Myhre describes how to make your own silk laces on AAAC:

To Mr. Myhre's advice let me add the suggestion that, if you use a gas flame, you wrap the tubing in aluminum foil first to avoid melting it.

Many thanks indeed. I have also been looking for a pair for a while.
