Fall is almost here. A couple of tweed visions from the experts to get you ready.
Cheers

But although worn now in both town and country, tweed remains resolutely informal. Lord Harris once tried to break with tradition by wearing a tweed suit into the Royal Enclosure at Ascot, in place of morning dress. 'Mornig, Harris', he was greeted by King Edward VII. 'Goin' rattin'?'

Now that spring is here, I thought LL members might like to see a couple of vintage tweeds before they get put away again for next year.
The two piece suit was made in 1948 by Kilgour, French & Stanbury. The sports coat was made in 1953 by Anderson & Sheppard.

Lovely brown Harris Tweed. Normally I prefer horn but those leather buttons are actually very nice.
