Pairing heavy fresco trousers with light fresco jacket

I am having some 9/10oz Minnis fresco jackets made up and am considering pairing them with heavier 11/12oz Smith's fresco odd trousers.

Do you think the combination of lighter jacket with heavier pants in similar weave works?

Or should I go for H&S Crispaire trousers instead as they are smoother than Minnis fresco, same weight, and just a shade less porous?

Advice appreciated. Thanks.

I can't imagine any big problems with a max 3oz difference especially when the pants are in a heavier weight. Given that the jacket will have some canvas and lining I don't think you have to worry about it looking too light or flimsy next to your pants.
