Confirmed kills: 2 shirts from Paris (with a third pending more cash in my wallet), 3 yards of charcoal grey worsted flannel from Fox bought at Singer's.

This is my first time in this city. One thing I want to mention is how bad the subway is. I'm spoiled by Seoul's subways which are nice and clean and easy to figure out. New York's subways suck.

Paris Custom Shirts was a lot of fun. Adam (I've seen it spelled Atam but I don't have his name on a business card so I don't know) was cool to talk with. I picked out some fabric in white and medium blue. I can't remember the thread count. Mark, Adam's father, told me later that the fabric was Thomas Mason Goldline. That stuff would set me back more $$$ in Korea than it does here, and that's without getting a fitting. (There are no good shirtmakers in Korea.) The fitting went well; the collar looks especially great. Mark will send me swatches along with my shirts so ordering more won't be a problem.

I went to Tip Top with a friend and he ended up spending more than I did (nothing.) There was a cat over there for me to play with while my friend was talking to Peter about trouser fabrics. I spotted some nice VBC charcoal greys and a good navy blue cashmere coating fabric but I passed. My friend walked away with $400+ worth of stuff to take to Dario Rodriguez.

I visited Singer's the next day and found that length of Fox suiting. There were some very nice mohairs that I had to pass on. I suppose I can get my friend to buy them sometime in the future, but he's kind of a fabric newbie. I don't know if the guy in the store is up to sending swatches, but I'll see.

I don't plan on visiting the tailors here. Mine back home does awesome work and my legs are tired from walking all around the place. I'll probably visit Tip Top again tomorrow for fun. Maybe the cat will be there again.
