chukka and the LL Limited Edition

I know I am late to the party as usual, but I was admiring the LL Limited Edition Chukka.

When I looked closely at it, it did not resemble any chukka I am familiar with. Of course, this comes to my definition of a chukka (I don't have one), and I wondered if someone could clarify this issue: what makes a boot a chukka? Why, for example, is the EG Halifax, not a chukka?
