I'm always fascinated by this military style sport coat.

What do you think of it?

Bespoke or RTW? There is a good maker fo peacoats around?

Looks suspiciously similiar to a coat I purchased in "Au Petit Matelot" in Paris...

Some googling... Yes, it really is! I believe this is a traditional coat of French seamen. Look, for example, there: http://brittany.networkshosting.com/store/corsaire.html.

As I have said, I have a version made for "APM", and I like it. Not a single hand-stitch, but functional and robust coat. And at least to my eye, it is beautiful.

If you insist on spending more, Richard Anderson of Savile Row makes bespoke pea coats and duffel coats-- in any color you think you can get away with.
