Cufflinks, Watches Mixing Metals
What is a good rule of thumb for combining watches and cufflinks? Must the metal colors match, or do you have some room to manoeuvre?
I would say that it is preferable not to mix.
E.g., a gold tank watch would look better with gold cufflinks than silver ones. In the same vein, gold cufflinks would look too dressy next to a stainless steel watch.
If your watch has both steel and gold accents, then I would say that you get away with either.

That is what I figured. Would you figure then, that a gold watch and a platinum/white gold watch would both look good with cufflinks that have a mix of silver and gold? ie the reverse of your stated scenario?
Thanks!
Thanks!
