Correct side saddle dress

I have sat at your feet for some time, though have only recently joined your ranks, my question is born of a desire to see my Lady correctly attired. The usual bible "to whom the goddess" by Lady Apsley 1932, is strangely silent on the subject. My question is this: should hunt buttons and facings be worn on a side saddle hunting habit. I lay this before you in the expectation of the most considered opinion available.
