After spending the long week end near Avignon, I thought I'd share my view sporting a 3 to 2.5 jacket with patch hip pockets.

The cloth is truly amazing, coarser and at the same time moving with grace when worn. Although my significant other was first a bit reluctant at the "grandpa look" she thought it gave me, she finally admitted after three days that it was gorgeous. This just show that this cloth - and the tailor's work - is great enough to change a non educated mind in just a few hours ;)

About the tailor (mutual riend I have with Costi), it is fair to mention that he did his work with no fitting, just an example of another coat he made for me when I was living in Bucharest, and my written indications... We only had a wrap up fitting when I collected items and nothing was to be changed. His ace job is even more to be noticed as he himself proposed to do the "one piece back and no front darts" when I was only used of having dartless coats from him... I remember reading here that great things can be achieved after years of connivance with one's tailor, I guess we're learning together quick!

I didn't spend 3 hours taking pics - just snapped a bunch just below the beautiful village Les Baux de Provence. Hence the obvious dropping shoulder and not so natural arm pose in the side pics, but you'll have to forgive me for that! On a side note, I thought of videotaping the jackets drape wen walking, it truly comes alive then... Will think of that.

Other pics of LL suits to come.

Best,

Guillaume

Can it be worn better than that?

Are you sure you're using the right links? If you copied them straight out of your browser line, I think that's where the rub is. You need to copy the link by selecting the "Share" option.

Splendid! I really appreciate the beautifully tapering sleeves and the one piece back; well that's just showing off :)

Excellent! Looks great and thanks for the post. I should have mine in the next week or so. I also opted for a one piece back and no front darts. Can't wait!

Dear Guillaume,

your coat looks very, very good, thank you for sharing. Seem our dear Costi has a rather well trained tailor at hand! :D

Looking forward to see more of your commissions.

Very well worn - particularly in the last picture :D
And what a great cloth... a shame I missed it. It wraps around you... seamlessly!
