Prince Charles has recently been spearheading a multinational initiative to renew the Western public's interest in wool textiles, emphasising its great wearing properties as well as its environmental sustainability. Stakeholders at farm level, wool traders, mills, fashion designers and bespoke tailors from around the world are co-operating in this initiative.

Familiar institutions like Anderson and Sheppard, Bulmer and Lumb, Dege, Dormeuil, Huntsman, Henry Poole, and Johnstons of Elgin are all involved as sponsors.

Have a look at the site, and by all means pass on the good word to your friends (or even pledge support online). It would be a shame to see wool consumption in India and China trending upwards at 15% a year while it continues to slump in the West. Educate yourself and your friends about this wonderful fibre!
