Dear esteemed gentlemen,

I am resurrecting an old thread here, and it is somewhat a bit off topic, but I have recently commissioned a single-breasted 2-piece suit in Mersolair, and I was hoping to get some suggestions on what kind of hip pockets I should have on my jacket.

I am hoping to get versatility out of this suit for business wear, and for casual wear (and as separates), and would be keen to hear whether patch pockets or hacking pockets would be possible options. The standard flapped pockets are a little too predictable for me, and I would quite like to have a bit of variety.

Patch please. They are every bit as appropriate for business as a linen suit in the first place, and the best way to enable minimal lining in the jacket.
