I want men to be more chic - and Japanese style has that kind of sophisticated elegance.
-- Roberto Cavalli
I just read this quotation on Mensflair and it reassures me that I am not the only one using the word or exploring its meaning. The joining of chic with the sophisticated elegance of Japanese style is also something I have come to understand recently.
I share Cavalli’s wish to see men risk a bit more, to seize the elegance opportunity that life affords everyday. Do it…be chic!

The Essence of Chic, Part II- a definition
A Dege man with a neckerchief?!dopey wrote:This is as good a place as any to report that, contrary to what I have written here in days past, I have gotten over my discomfort with casual neckwear. I have been wearing neckerchiefs and ascots on weekends for al month or two as a trial, with no ill effects.
Even though I note the caveat that this is only a trial, still, is this just another tall tale?
Although I long suspected that Dopey had plenty of chutzpah, he also obviously has VESPA as well though I really would like to see a photo confirming this silky item lying snug around his neck, if only to see if he hasn't broken out in hives.
Ofcourse, he should wear his Panama in the photo just to confirm that the photo is really of the original Dopey.
UC, is that your Caraceni jacket? Beautiful cut and color.
