For whatever it is worth, Beckenstein has some nice corduroy cloth at very, very, low prices. For some reason they have nice seersucker too. That said, I have some RTW beautifully made corduroy's from Davide Cenci, I got on sale, and they simply don't have the cut or fit I like. They were quite inexpensive on sale, but I have to say, I don't wear them. They have been altered several times by Cenci and just aren't for me. The in house tailor there, finally said, in a very polite way, something to the effect well, they are RTW after all, and will never fit like custom...
Tip Top had sime nice cotton/cashmere Italian narrow wale cord last year, but this year, only some rugged looking wide wale...I bought one length in an interesting 'melon' color. Another thing about cords MTM, bespoke, whatever, is needing longer lengths for the 'cut one way' issue. I am a sucker for interesting colors in cords.
I believe there are some bantam weight Japanese fine wale cords about 9 ounce, but they look like pajamas. They are as comfortable as pajamas, but very functionless.
To me the issue is, RTW/ MTM shirt vs. bespoke? Same issues as RTW/MTM cords. It just depends on your wallet and threshold for imperfection.
