I am afraid you will start charging me, but what is there to say about the Weston Demi-Chasse model? Now that I understand the difference, I actually find the demi-chasse configuration slightly more appealing. i know Weston also makes the sole a double-sole. I do not know if they reduce the extended welt. I know it is available RTW at a fraction of the price of the Chasse model.

The Weston demi-chasse is one of the canonical shoes. There are three variations of it: the classic double-soled version (Ref. 598), the classic version with a rubber Ridgeway sole (Ref. 696), and the Michael Perry-designed version with a leather sole and an angular, chisel-toe last (Ref. 637). My understanding is that Weston will allow you to change only the leather for special orders.

I know that there are artisitc considerations, but regarding durability and foul-weather endurance, which is tops, the Weston Demi-Chasse or the Dover (or the Alden demi-chasse)?
