No, it’s true AndreyB, that the coat and trousers look really good on you.
Very comfortable looking and effortlessly elegant.
Really nice work from Kent.
Tell us a bit more about the process with JK .... how many fittings did you have, do you live in London or travel to him, what’s the cloth, is this your first coat with him, etc.
Just wondering what’s involved here because JK doesn’t travel I think....
John Kent
(Yeah, did this after all the years on the Lounge... I can simply *hear* how Michael Alden sighs in disapprove... )
Au contraire Andre, looks nice. I am not much of a belt wearer myself, except on jeans, but that looks good to me.
Cheers
uppercase, I elaborated on my experience there: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=10136. The odd coat (picture is not displayed properly anymore) is actually the brown shetland tweed I posted in this thread before.uppercase wrote:Tell us a bit more about the process with JK .... how many fittings did you have, do you live in London or travel to him, what’s the cloth, is this your first coat with him, etc.

That’s a very informative thread on your coat.
I was surprised to see my name and comments there way back in 2011.
At least I was consistent both then and now that your coat is great looking.
And also happy that I haven’t gone crazy in the intervening 7 years since that initial post.
Good job for me.
And who said bespoke is dying... there are lots of great tailors still out there working.
Too many to try.
Some are getting older but then we all are.
Have you had anything more made by JK? Or other tailors?
You seem to be a good bespeaker who gets the best from your tailor.
Beautiful pieces indeed, thanks for sharing
Everest was having an exhibition on the suits of James Bond a couple of years ago, out of interest he had his tailors make copies of quite some Bond suits.
Writer/Journalist Nick Foulkes has written about his experience with T.Haste in the FT and Newsweek amongst others.
Tim Everest is a big film enthusiast. He and his bespoke department are making suits for films and BBC series all the time, as a customer you feel when a deadline is approachingbond_and_beyond wrote:
Watching The Crown season 2 they have actually incorporated this into Prince Philip’s (portrayed by Matt Smith) trousers on the show. That’s a remarkable attention to detail on their part (costumes made by Timothy Everest).
