Hello everyone.

I was wondering if anyone had this old LL tweed made up.

And could take a photo of them wearing it with denim. How do you like it? How versatile is it?

Still on my list to do. I can’t think there are any surprises in it. If you like tweed of that flavor, go forth.

I had it in a drawer for several years before eventually having it made up, and when I did I wondered why I had waited so long, its fabulous. It is less green than it appears in the picture you posted (although I presume you have a length, so can tell that for yourself). I'm sure it would work very well with denim, although I have no photos to prove it. It is quite a substantial tweed, though, and will certainly keep you warm on a chilly spring day.

Yes, my thought was have it made with shooting jacket pockets on the front hip pockets (I’m not sure if I have enough for pleats in the back).

I have the fabric, although it seems to have taken a permanent residence in Milan at my tailor’s sartoria. I also have the agnelli lambswool and the agnelli raf tweed there as well. Both patiently awaiting the day when their number is called haha. My problem is, I go in planning to place the order, and then out comes a vintage Harrison’s cashmere from the 1980s he has been saving for me. Haha. Naturally, that gets ordered instead. (The London lounge 1kg coat fabric was funded despite some beautiful vintage cashmere fabrics appearing.)

I also bought a brown glencheck joshua ellis cashmere length. So I was considering having agnelli made up in a similar shooting jacket style (and eventually ordering the glencheck cashmere as a normal jacket). Feel free to chime in if you have any thoughts or criticisms from your experience.

Agnelli raf - db is the plan (eventually).

I also have some old lumbs golden bale London shrunk sitting there and the LL mohair patiently awaiting the day it becomes a tuxedo.

Great looking tweed in my biased and humble opinion.....would work with anything...including denim

Cheers

Looks nice! Thanks Michael! I’m thinking it’ll look quite nice with denim as well.
