On a recent visit to Milan I was lucky enough to have a look inside Maestro Bestetti's workshop. I hope you enjoy the pictures:
A trial shoe fitting with black markings for modification:
The workshop:
Some shoes he was preparing for Pitti Uomo in Firenze this month:
Sharkskin Moccassin
Lizardskin Captoe:
some alligator chukka uppers about to be lasted:
nb: the shoes that he was preparing for Pitti are a lot more "flashy" than what he normally does. Inside his store are samples with the most sublime chisel toes, wonderfully balanced round noses...
Riccardo Bestetti workshop
Are those ... black jeansyou're wearing?
Midnight blue. Blacker than black.
But only under artificial light.Concordia wrote: Blacker than black.
That's funny.
Sharkskin moccassins, lizardskin captoes, alligator chukkas and the question of propriety centres on the colour of the jeans. I love this place.
