My impression, increasingly, is that the most versatile sports jackets are in 'nature' colours like brown or variations thereof. Give you already have a blue SC, if your Harris Tweed SC is in a dark brown, I would go for a beige-and-brown Glencheck. That said, the next, for em, would be a mid-grey in either donegal or herringbone so it's a pretty close call... :-)

I'll tell which commissions I have found less useful than I expected. Very light grey jacket. Sage-green (as opposed to a more saturated green) jacket..

Where and why will you wear the jacket? If in the city, for evenings at the bistro, you may find that a grey jacket is just the thing.
If you have covered that base already, perhaps beige or tan.

Or possibly an overcoat or covert coat that you could wear over a heavy sweater for casual walks and evenings in the city.

In my view, a plain grey jacket is rather difficult to combine...
Have a look at http://thelondonlounge.net/forum/viewto ... f=2&t=8591 and browse the tweeds that have been made in the past. Almost every one of them would make a perfect SC, just depending on your personal taste. Some of the cloths are still available (see here: http://thelondonlounge.net/forum/viewto ... =2&t=11903)

My first two choice would be as yours, for my third sports jacket I would choose a check in perhaps a dark green background.
