As somebody who speaks two different East European languages and living in Germany and having the experience of both worlds, I must assure you that you have all types of girls on both sides of the iron curtain. By far not every East European girl is a gold digger and for sure there are a lot of German, British or American gold diggers.
As with wine, you will never know unless you try. Just have a strong stomach to survive the experience in case the bottle is not as good as expected.
As for French products:
-> French shoe polish (Saphire)
-> French perfumes
-> French pocket squares (Simonnot Godard)
And if I would buy a leather jacket one day, I will definitely look at Chapal.
But for shirts, suits, and shoes there are just too many other great alternatives for people who don't live in France. And Cifonelli cuts too effeminate for my taste.

I'm sure you are right, Hristo, that would be a silly generalization. It is just that the sample of East European young women who have migrated to London and the US in the last 15 years would make you think so given the overrepresentation of the beautiful and the materialistically inclined.HristoStefanov wrote: By far not every East European girl is a gold digger
“Thou rascal beadle, hold thy bloody hand.
Why dost thou lash that whore? Strip thine own back.
Thou hotly lust’st to use her in that kind
For which thou whipp’st her.”
And do find me one non materialistic soul on the planet because I would love to see it. And if a soul happens to be materialistic and also beautiful, it seems to me just compensation and a reward for all of us.
Hectorm, I think you’ve been on too many Russian Wives websites lately. East European gold diggers? That's quite an unfortunate stereotype. Get back to work.
Cheers

Screamin,Tomatoes didn't have Italian origins, we imported them and did just fine (I guess)
Yeah and the choicest of the tomatoes can't wait to get down to Italy and into some steamy Eye-talian sauce. London and the USA, bollocks, all the darlings "want-ah nice-ah piece-ah pizxza pie!" Don't think you can fool me.
You lucky guys. ...though quite a few make it to other climes. Or so I am told.
Cheers

The problem with that statistic is that often elder men collect the data. When a 40 year old man gets the attention of a 25 year old girl, then of course the chance that she is a gold digger is higher than the average (still not necessary).hectorm wrote:I'm sure you are right, Hristo, that would be a silly generalization. When somebody is young and good looking then one has a higher chance of getting the less materialistic girls.
And of course as Michael says, it is normal that everybody is to a some degree materialistic. There is an instinct for continuing the human race and wealth makes raising children easier.
P.S. The best tomatoes are in Bulgaria.
If you ask a Bulgarian abroad, what is the thing from Bulgaria he/she misses the most, 9 out of 10 Bulgarians would answer the rose tomatoes:

send the Bulgarians to the farmers market in Bern. Plenty of rose tomatoes from July to early September. And some "Noir de Crimée", too https://www.restorationseeds.com/produc ... mee-tomato
As delicious as Rose tomatoes..
