I could never make up my mind on whether this is a sad or a joyful song. Mostly the latter I guess, but it depends on my mood.

Agree.
A lot of dissonance here.
Dirge like melody yet hopeful words all sung in a somber, melancholy tone.

You might enjoy Poppa Chubby’s (aka Theodore Horowitz) rendition of
Hey Joe.
He has gained some weight, but always a sharp dresser.

Superb musician.

No idea if it is still there, but he used to have a restaurant just behind the Champs Elysees which served up a wonderful tagliatelle with lobster and a cognac cream sauce.

Women.
I don’t know what to say.
Pattie Boyd. English model, seductress and muse.
Married to George Harrison and Eric Clapton.
One of the all time great songs: Badge by Cream.
What did she create through her tension?
And what did she destroy ?

Finally, I hope you’ll enjoy this hillbilly love song because love might find us inspite of ourselves.
