Since we started talking a bit about RTW shoes in another thread about Edward Green, I thought I would start one for all my friends out there with narrow feet. We are a decidedly underserved minority in the RTW shoe world as most people stride about on cement blocks.
So if you come across any RTW lasts that do well for the Narrow team, feel free to post them here. Many of my own EG shoes were made on the 808 last, but I am not sure if the 808 lasts were resined like the others. I suspect so.
I recently came across a beautiful last made exclusively for Crockett & Jones in Paris. It is the round toe #377. It reminds me a lot of the beautifully elegant lasts made by Church's in the late 70s. (I wish I had bought a few dozen pair back when, alas and alack.) The 377 just came out in late 2016 and it is quite nice, fits me like a glove in an E fitting.
Cheers
RTW lasts for narrow feet
Anthony Cleverley shoes are my choice. Supreme fit and comfort. Right now I am awaiting shipping of a pair of their Hague II model...

Carmina Simpson is quite narrow.
Shoe lasts are a tricky business. So tricky that when I´m asked what shoe size I wear, I honestly have to answer: it depends (12, 12.5 or sometimes even 13 UK). Width is only one general dimension. And last has also to do with shape, asymmetry, curvature, open or closed lacing, heel depth, instep and toecap height, etc. My feet are long and narrow and I can list some lasts that worked to (almost) perfection for me in the past. But I´m afraid it would be of little use for other fellows since I believe they served me well, more for their general shape than for their narrow width. Having said this I could point out –for the really narrow feet and amongst the most well-known brands- to the EG Chelsea last 202. It´s one of the most boring shoes ever but perfectly safe for getting married in them and I believe it´s one of the only two oxford models that EG still makes RTW in the unusual C width. Also, several more interesting RTW models in John Lobb last 8000. In size 12 UK, they were my to-go shoe for years and I never shrank away from wearing a cheap Dr. Scholl´s insole with them to get the perfect fit early in the mornings Finally the lasts “U” and “F” of RTW Laszlo Vass (in reality MTO, since you´ll have to place an order for the models available within those lasts). Both ideal for narrow feet, the longer and squarer “U” more suited IMO to wear with Italian sleeker garments and the rounder “F” with classic English style suits.alden wrote: I thought I would start one for all my friends out there with narrow feet. Hmmm, all the nice shoes (C&J handgrade, JL, EG E fitting, Cleverley RTW) are very narrow for my feet, which prompted me to step down in makers ladder just to get a comfortable fit. Now I see that standard lasts are too *wide* for so many loungers -- one wonders for who they are made then? Ah, yes -- Americans...

Yes. It is true. Americans have a narrower foot compared to Europeans...but so do the Japanese..ah haa!Ah, yes -- Americans..
Good to see you around Monsieur.
PS This Italian store stocks all "F" fitting cause the Italians have wide feet.
