Does anyone have any thoughts on the film or the tailor? I'm intrigued but will be interested to hear the thoughts of those more knowledgable than I.

I quite like Everest's stuff. He did a bang up job with Ralph Fiennes in Skyfall.

Oh, I'd forgotten that. Didn't he also make suits for the Mission Impossible movies?

Timothy Everest has proved to be very successful. Started as an apprentice on SR and moved up very quickly, crossing over from the tailor stream to designer turf. IMHO he knows how to blow the horn to celebrities and work the PR side of the business, but at the same time has dedicated his life to revitalizing bespoke tailoring with fresh ideas and kept an eye on the good quality craft.
Periodically his house turns out very nice classic pieces (like Gareth Mallory´s suits in Skyfall) that transcend the "fashionable" and I respect him for that.

Thank you Hectorm.
I look forward to seeing the film, to get a look at the clothing.

Having now seen The Man From UNCLE on the big screen, I was rather taken by Napoleon Solo ( Henry Cavill)'s gorgeous wardrobe- particularly the glen check suit- and the overall look of the film.
The cinematography, locations, soundtrack and costumes were reminiscent of a more stylish time.
I was dazzled by the clothing choices of the villainess..6 foot 3 inch Victoria Vinceguerra, last seen in The Great Gatsby .
Worth a watch in my opinion.

A great film, and yes to Solo's suits. Did you notice how all the buttons were covered in matching cloth?

yes I did. I'm starting to notice tailoring details since joining this forum.
I would kill for that wardrobe.
