Fresco

Gentlemen,

For a bespoke pair of light weight trousers to be worn in UK summer, and occasional holiday visits to warmer climes, is fresco the best choice? The overriding criterion is to be crease resistant and of a 'crumple free' appearance. So albeit slightly cooler wearing the characteristically wrinkled look of 100% linen would not do.

If yes to fresco is the Hunt and Winterbotham Fresco 11 a good choice, or is there something better?

If not fresco what else would you recommend please?

My go to is Smith Finmeresco, but only the heavier option which is a 4 ply coming in at around 11 ozs.

I have several suits which come with me on trips, and which are both breathable in warmer climates and very crease resistant.

I would suggest you try Brisa or Piuma at least once. These are exceptional fabrics, then likes of which merchants do not carry in their lines. If you ever have a chance to feel them alongside the off the rack fabrics, you will know immediately.

And as David has pointed out, we have a few Brisa subscriptions in the works now.
