Is it only me, or others on the LL are also missing Minh´s posts?. It´s been a few months since his last one.

Referring to the brown suit on the right. Is the waistcoat a peak lapel? Is it not strange to have a notch on the coat and a peak on the waistcoat?

I actually have a suit that is like this (notch/peak combo), and I often thought this maybe not coherent, however, since it was made by a reputable bespoke tailor, I felt he won't do such a combo if it was deemed inappropriate.

What are you views? Thank you.

A collared DB waistcoat should be a peak lapel by default. It could also be a shawl lapel.
The lapels of the jacket do not necessarily dictate the lapels on the vest. Actually, notch lapels on a DB vest would be the least coherent option even for a SB notch lapel jacket. Besides, they look as a bit of a shortcoming, don´t they?

hectorm, thank you. I believe notch lapel on anything DB (coat or waistcoat) looks strange. I guess my inner question was whether a notch lapel coat demands a notch lapel (or no lapel) SB waistcoat, but I believe that question is also answered.

First off, thanks to Minh for making these illustrations available. I created a backup of all but a few of the images in this thread. I would like to share it with the other members.
