Boston area chapter meeting April 8

The Boston area LL chapter will be holding its first meeting this Friday April 8 at the Four Seasons hotel in downtown Boston. The members plan on visiting with Mr George Glasgow of the London shoemaker Cleverly who will be receiving at the hotel.

A noonish meeting is confirmed with Mr. Glasgow of Cleaverly at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston, this Friday April 8.

I will be at the bar on the first floor of the Hotel from 11:30. We will pick a spot for those interested in moving along for lunch.

Good Day Gents,

Richardcharles and I met at the Four Seasons on Friday. We spent about an hour with George Glasgow. Then we had a drink at the hotel.

I remain impressed by the work the guys at Cleaverly do. There is something honest, refined, and pure about the shoes, yet they lack for the most part a super high finish level - which in my opinion is perfect; they are at once refined and subtle. Mr. Glasgow is a hard core bespoke guy and he has seen quite a bit of that particular world. It is interesting to learn his views on tailors, shirt makers and the other great shoe makers. I would nominate him for consideration of suitability, and if others would agree then for inclusion in our CAP.

It was a pleasure to meet Richard and I hope to meet some more of the Boston gang in the future.
