Thank God for one of the few "unregulated" domains of masculine dress, where we may do as we please to suit our taste. The only "rule" I know of is to to wear white braces with a tailcoat. Not very useful to know this today :?
You may like your braces to blend in with your shirt (so white, pale blue, pale pink - I have them all), or you may like to have some fun with them. I do both, depending on my morning mood. I like to wear a pair of blood red braces with a donkey flannel suit, for example
Suspend your judgment, brace yourself for impact - on those who might think you must be

Thank you, Costi, well said!

I am already considered "an eccentric" for wearing a fedora. Apparently if I wore one of those trapper style hats with earpieces dangling around my knees I would be considered "in fashion".

I think I will stick with being "an eccentric".
