Greetings all:
Does anyone know any place where I can find some old in good wearable shape Trafalgar braces. I am looking for the Snooker Club theme, English Hunting theme, and Pens theme. Can't remember the proper titles. I have just recently pruchused "On the Avenue" can't wait to wear them. I have checked ebay from time to time, but they are selling more newer ones that I already have. Any help would be appreciated.

Trying to find old Ltd. Edition Braces.
Are a lot of the Ltd Edition braces sold on ebay fake?

I have brought all my Ltd. edition braces at stores such as Hubert White in MInneapolis, Bert & Jess Clothiers in Albuquerque, Nordstorm, and Paul Stuart. The only pair of braces I have brought on ebay was from Brooks Brothers and they were real. The photos I have seen on ebay selling the Ltd. edition braces are sometimes in boxes with the numbered card, and some are just alone with no box. I would think the buyers would want the right product for what they are paying for. Hope this helps.

I have maybe a dozen pairs of them. My wife started them as a gift idea in about '84 and kept it up while braces were hot. Some were limited editions, some were not as I recall. Some were new versions of much older Calvin Curtis designs. I'm not at home but I have the Roosters, Billiards Players, WWII Plane Art, Monkeys, Face Cards, etc.
As far as eBay and fakes, I imagine they'd be extremely hard to do well enough to fool someone.I suppose the best way to describe them is tapestry weave? The Trafalgars are quite well done.
They came with the limited edition pencilled cards described above as well as an invitation to join a "Society of Brace Collectors" or some such nonsense. I sent the card in but never received a newsletter, so forgot about it. I seem to remember there was a gentelman's name associated with the society, but I don't have any records of it.
When I build a proper dressing room I will display them, somehow.
