Crepe Soled Boots
Thank you for the suggestion. I've decided on and ordered a pair of suede, thin rubber soled soft ankle height shoes from Miserocchi, which were my favorite after extensive research. I will post once they arrive. From the look of the photos, they should do the trick for casual suit wear and long walks.
Bwooster,
I see you're following the steps of l'avvocato. Good for you.
I didn't know Miserocchi also made boots. They are famous for their ultra soft gommino car shoes.
In any case, a much better choice than the crepe soles.

I agree, hectorm, a much better choice. I love their mocassini as well, the slight heel somehow makes them much more versatile in my opinion. I figure, if I am going to attempt to walk in L'Avoccato's steps, may as well wear the same shoes!
Let us know how you get on with them. Did you order through the Italian site or elsewhere as a matter of interest?
I ordered the G&G/LL Chukka boot in the plantation crepe sole and found them uncomfortable (and my feet heated up quickly)...I sent them back to be resoled with a single leather sole
By the end of the day, my feet with the crepe soles were tired...but when I switched to the leather sole, I had better all day foot comfort

Good luck with the project. Miserocchi has a disturbing tendency to collect the wire transfers of overseas customers and never ship shoes. At least such was the experience of both my friend and I last fall and this past winter.Bwooster wrote:Thank you for the suggestion. Have just heard the same from a friend who's been waiting for over a year for his pair. Oh dear...
