Grenfell raincoats

Gentlemen, what do you know of the Grenfell brand? I understand they have set up in the UK again after a long absence, and from what I can glean from the internet have a product that looks promising. I'm bitterly disappointed with Burberry, which has completely slipped its moorings and become a fashion house, and not a very good one. I'm not impressed with Aquascutum, either.

It should not be so hard to find a decent trench coat, classic design, all cotton, wool liner, British made, and without any of the "improvements" which to my eye are utterly ridiculous.

Although not as famous as Burberry or Barbour, Grenfell is (was) nevertheless one of the important names of British RTW outerwear of the last century. Its fame derived most of all from its Grenfell cloth (cotton so tightly woven that made the garments water and wind resistant). The Japanese bought the brand some years ago. I didn't know it was back in the UK.
I understand Cary Grant's iconic light unlined raincoat in Charade was a Grenfell.

What about Gloverall or Mackintosh?

Gloverall! You made me travel 40 years back in time. My beloved Montgomery (with rope toggles) when I was a teen-ager was Gloverall and it was indestructible. I´m afraid that now I have lost track of the brand.
