Any fellow aficionados of this noble spirit?

This site describes it rather amusingly -
"It is has been said that it is easy to understand the difference between Armagnac and Cognac if one thinks of Cognac as industrially produced worsted cloth and of Armagnac as hand woven Harris Tweed. "

Sipping Castarede 1985 at the moment, aged 24 years in the barrel...

We don't have Armagnac in the Caucasus, only "Armeniac"; Armenian brandy from Yerevan Brandy Company. The most interesting product is Noah's Ark Brandy, aged for 70 years in Caucasian Oak barrels.

Dear Xu,

this made me laugh so much - because it is so true. Armagnac is so much more interesting than Cognac, which is a standardised industrial product of very good or excellent quality.

cheers, david
